George Sinclair of Derryhale, Co Armagh

George Sinclair, a farmer, and his wife Anna Belle were living in the townland of Clonroot, parish of Kilmore, at the Census in 1901. Both were born in Co Down, George about 1855 and Anna Bella about 1856.

On 15 August 1902, George auctioned his farm and residence, growing crops, live stock, and farming implements at Clonroot. By the 1911 Census, they had moved to the nearby townland of Derryhale in the same parish, where he continued farming.

He also leased land in Drumnasoo, a townland bordering the north of Derryhale, which provided 4 acres of upland and meadow grass for cutting and grazing.

George died on 2 January 1935, at his residence in Derryhale and was interred in the Ballygowan Burying-ground on 4 January. It is not known if they had any children.
